Part-Time IT Support Technician

Immediate opening for a part-time IT support technician to provide timely and valuable technical support to staff and students throughout the school day. Must be confident working with Google Suite, Windows, network equipment, and print devices. Must be an active member/regular attendee of a church that aligns with CPCS Statement of Faith (linked in the Job Description below).

Purpose

  • The IT Support Technician is responsible for the maintenance and support of all school-owned devices and technology.

  • All IT personnel are expected to work together to provide timely and valuable technical support to staff and students throughout the day.

Qualifications

  • Experience, Training, and Licensure

    • Obtained (or in the process of obtaining) an Associate or Bachelor Degree in Information Technology from an accredited college or university.

    • Experience as a Support Technician preferred.

    • In agreement with Crown Point Christian School’s Statement of Faith.

    • Active member/regular attendee of a church that aligns with CPCS Statement of Faith.

    • A servant-leader whose conduct exemplifies Biblical principles, personal integrity, and professionalism.

    • Confident working with Google Suite, Windows, Network equipment, and print devices.

  • Professional Profile

    • Good communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information to a non-technical user and train users with a wide range of technical competencies.

    • Ability to effectively work and communicate with students and staff.

    • Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

    • Good time management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Support

  1. Provide staff with essential support needed to complete technology-based instructional management and productivity functions.

  2. Provide periodic staff development and instructional content to all staff for improved performance and increased use of technology.

  3. Provide on-site technical support and first-line response to teachers, staff, and students to resolve hardware and software-related problems and issues.

  4. Set up, inventory, and deploy school-owned devices to all staff and students according to CPCS specifications.

  5. Perform annual maintenance of devices and technical equipment during the summer, replacing equipment, managing warranties, and ensuring devices are tracked and replaced as needed.

  6. Set up or oversee the setup of Audio/Visual equipment (microphones, sound system, video presentation, etc.) for school events and assemblies.

  • Handle other duties as assigned by Direct Report

Position Details

  • Hourly, part-time (20 hours per week), at-will employee

  • Reports to the Director of Operations
