Hello, my name is Jeff Stallinga and I grew up in South Holland, Illinois, and attended Calvin Christian School, Illiana Christian High School and Trinity Christian College. My first teaching position was at Highland Christian School, where I taught fourth grade as well as a few years of junior high Bible. During my time at Highland, I also earned my Master's Degree in Education from Purdue University.
After 11 years at Highland, I took a break from teaching and spent two years doing full time youth ministry at a church in South Holland. But I soon felt the Lord was calling me back into the classroom, and I accepted a sixth grade position at Lansing Christian School, where I taught for another 11 years.
I then felt the Lord was calling me to teach at Crown Point Christian School, and now after I have taught many years here at CPCS at this wonderful school, I have no doubts that this is where I am supposed to be and where I can fulfill God's calling to the fullest. I truly believe that teaching is not just a job, but my ministry and God's calling on my life. I am grateful for how he has used me over the years to not only teach about God's world, but to lead children to a stronger relationship with their Lord and Savior.
When I'm not grading papers, I enjoy coaching basketball, watching sports - especially the Bears and Blackhawks, and I love to bike and grill out during the summer. My favorite verse is found in 1st Corinthians 10:31, "Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
