Don shares that, “It has been a blessing and a privilege to serve Crown Point Christian School (CPCS) as Interim Co-Head of School since July 2019. I am looking forward to continuing to serve and pray for God’s continued blessings on the CPCS family.”
Until recently, Don served as an Accreditation Regional Coordinator for Christian Schools International (CSI) in the Western Great Lakes region and also conducted new adjunct faculty interviews for Trinity Christian College (TCC). Prior to joining CSI, Don spent 11 years at TCC, serving in various teaching and administrative roles. Before joining TCC’s faculty, Don spent 33 years in PK-8 Christian education at Calvin Christian School, serving first as a middle grades teacher and later as an assistant principal, principal and executive director. Currently, Don’s professional interests include supporting 21st century Christ-centered educational practices, mission-directed board governance, and professional development for boards and staff.
Don and his wife, Kay, live in Saint John, IN. They have been married for 50 years, and they are blessed to have two married sons and four grandchildren (two attend CPCS). Don has served as an elder, mentor, small group leader, Point Person Coordinator, and facilitator for new member classes at Faith Church in Dyer, Indiana.
Don’s favorite Bible passage is Romans 8:38-39: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NIV)
