Social-Emotional Supports

We acknowledge that a Christian education involves much more than supporting the academic growth of students; we strive to ensure the social and emotional needs of our students are supported within a caring environment as well. Crown Point Christian School offers a variety of special lunch groups that allow children to receive additional support with other peers, without missing valuable classroom instruction. Although these groups change depending on the needs of the student body, some topics may include:

• Social Skill Instruction
• Friendship Building
• Coping with Change
• Dealing with Anxiety and Stress

Classroom teachers can make recommendations to the Director of Student Services regarding children that may benefit from these programs. The Director of Student Services will contact parents to receive permission for participation. If you feel your child could benefit from this support, please feel free to contact our Director of Student Services.
