Throwback Thursday: Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Crown Point Christian School – A Community of Giving

DSC_9151DSC_9181After many years of waiting and moving, hours of work, sacrifice and dedication, CPCS held its first classes in our own building in January 2007.  It took an entire community of people giving sacrificially.  Every family, child, business owner and church rallied together to collect every spare penny, quarter and dollar to give to the vision and dream of a home for a group of students and staff who desired a place to call their home.  It was a step of faith trusting daily that the Lord would provide the location, people, and funds.  The students had an opportunity to write their prayers on the concrete floor in permanent ink in each classroom.  These prayers echoed the sounds of praise, glory and for God’s leading on this school that He created and orchestrated.DSC_9142DSC_9172

Today we come together as a community stepping out in faith as the Lord asks us to add additional space to our school.  It comes at a time where our budgets are tight and many other ministries and schools also need our financial commitment and heart.  The future of our school depends on the commitment and support of you, our family, friends, and neighbors.  Our school is so much more than bricks and materials.  It is a place where on a daily basis children are loved, challenged and equipped with the knowledge of the Lord.  Our existence and purpose is rooted in one thing, “To praise and glorify the Lord through each life connected with Crown Point Christian School”.  Partner with us as we stand committed to The EveryONE Project.  This spring we will break ground on a 10,000 square foot space that will allow for increased educational opportunities and services for our students today and in the future.
