Throwback Thursday: Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of CPCS – The History of the Fellowship Dinner

tableWe know many of you are excited about attending our upcoming Fellowship Dinner which will be held at the Halls of St. George on Friday, November 20, 2015.  This annual night out offers great food and an opportunity to grow in community, all while supporting the children of CPCS.

The Fellowship Dinner has a rich historical connection to our school.  In the early years, CPCS began what was called a Hostess Supper.  Individual hostesses would fill their table with guests and provide a main dish to share.  Table guests would provide the side dishes and desserts.  It was a great time of fellowship and sharing stories about what God was doing at CPCS.  At the end of the meal, an offering was taken for the school.

1452436_222398311260453_1961103913_nToday, the event has grown into a gathering of 600+ family, grandparents and friends of CPCS.  This year’s Fellowship Dinner will again be held at the Halls of St. George in Schererville, Indiana.  The fun-filled night will kick off with punch at 5:45 PM and will be jam-packed with photos, videos, Christian recording artist Meredith Andrews, and hilarious comedy of John Branyan!

The proceeds from the event will benefit The EveryONE Project.  The goal of The EveryONE Project is to raise funds for the addition of new dedicated space that will enable many of our educational programs to grow and realize their full potential.  More information on this project can be found on our website at www.crownpointchristian.org/support-cpcs/the-everyone-project.

You’re not too late! The RSVP deadline for this year’s Fellowship Dinner, has been extended to November 10. Don’t miss this great night of music, laughter, and fellowship! Whole tables and single attendees are welcome and celebrated. Return your RSVP cards to the office today.

All of our students are featured on creative display boards. This year the theme is “Thanks be God!” and each student finished the sentence “I am thankful for…”.
