Throwback Thursday: Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of CPCS

CPCS had many homes during the first 20 years of our school’s history.  Five churches generously allowed us to use their facilities.

The first preschool class was held at First Christian Reformed Church in Crown Point, Indiana in the fall of 1984.

In the spring of 1990, CPCS moved to First Christian Church for a short period of time as First Christian Reformed Church was beginning the construction of their new sanctuary.  In the fall of 1990, we moved to First Presbyterian Church in downtown Crown Point until First Christian Reformed Church completed their new facilities, and allowed us to move in in the spring of 1991.

Our move to Living Stones Church in the fall of 1998 provided a large amount of space and opportunities for our students.  It was in this location where we began to experience growth, obtain CSI and North Central Accreditation, and had our first athletic teams.  There is so much richness in the history and stories of these years that we will continue to share for weeks to come…so stay tuned!churches
