Hi! My name is Denise VanDrunen. I am thrilled to be able to come back to teaching after eight years! I love being with the students at CPCS and using my creativity in the classroom. I am teaching two day pre-k and three day kindergarten.
I graduated from Trinity Christian college and have taken graduate classes at Purdue. I started my teaching career as far west as I could go in Alameda, California and slowly made my way back to the Midwest. I taught four years before quitting to raise my family.
My husband’s name is Ron, and we have three wonderful children, Dylan (2nd grade), Travis (1st grade)and Haley (pre-k). Just when we thought we were done, we found out we were expecting again. Our little bundle is expected sometime mid-November. Our family enjoys spending time together at our cottage, outside activities, and being with friends. Personally I enjoy family activities, walking, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends. My life verse is found in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for your,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
