Miss Voss is so excited to be at Crown Point Christian School teaching fifth
grade and Jr. High Science this year! She loves teaching her students and
since second grade when she came home declaring to her parents that she
would be a teacher one day she has never lost her passion to teach.
Miss Voss was born in Orland Park, IL and graduated from Chicago Christian
High School in 2004. She attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI and
earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education as well as minors in
Integrated Science and Language Arts. While at Calvin she spent a semester
in Rehoboth, New Mexico and a month in Ecuador visiting the Galapagos
Islands and the Amazon Rainforest. She was also named the 2007- 2008 Student
Employee of the Year for her four years of work at the Bunker Interpretive
Center on Calvin’s campus.
Miss Voss has one younger sister at Calvin College studying business, and 2
younger sisters at Chicago Christian High School. Her mom enjoys
volunteering in Southwest Christian Schools Tinley’s campus in the library
and her dad is in construction. Miss Voss’ hobbies include water sports,
watching movies, shopping, and White Sox baseball. Miss Voss’ favorite Bible verse sits on her desk, “Love is patient, love is
kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of
wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always
protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves. Love never fails.”
