Mrs. Klomp was born in Chicago and raised in Lansing, Illinois where she graduated from Illiana Christian High School. She went to Olivet Nazarene University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with emphasises in Spanish, English, Reading and Social Studies. She lives in St. John with her husband Kevin and their two children: Olivia (almost 4) and Brody (4 months old). She enjoys family time, reading, cooking/baking, and traveling.
Mrs. Klomp has taught for 13 years in Christian education. One of her favorite things about working in a Christian school is the freedom to be all about God's business! She counts her class devotion times as a favorite part of the day for both her and the kids. It opens up the opportunity to be real and authentic with each other about our walk with God. She is passionate about partnering with parents in teaching their children and helping those children grow and mature both academically and spiritually. This is her first year here at CPCS, and she is excited to be a part of such a caring, professional staff and a dynamic, growing school.
Mrs. Klomp feels so blessed to have been raised in a Christian home and taught by so many wonderful, Christian educators. Her life has had its share of ups and downs, but through it all she has been able to see God's faithful hand leading and guiding her. She has many cherished verses from the Bible, but particularly likes to ponder on the verses that speak of God's love, faithfulness, mercy and grace. God has just done so many things for us! His goodness knows no limit, and He showers us daily with His blessings. She strives to remember to be joyful and grateful each day which is why Psalm 9: 1-2 has become particularly meaningful: " I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High". |
