Mrs. Vanderzee was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Tri-unity Christian High School. After attending Michigan State University and earning a Bachelors degree in elementary education, she took a job as the Director of Junior High Ministry at Fifth Reformed Church in Grand Rapids. After a year of junior high ministry, she married Kyle Vanderzee on June 21, 2008 and shortly after, moved down to Demotte, Indiana where Kyle took a job as the Worship Director at Community CRC in Roselawn. She enjoys spending time with family, reading, scrap booking, and playing games with friends. She also enjoys Chinese food and Dairy Queen Blizzards.
Mrs. Vanderzee is very excited about her first year as a teacher being at Crown Point Christian. She loves being with the students every day, watching them discover new things, and helping them grow as disciples of Christ. She hopes that she will have as much of an impact on them as they are sure to have on her!
She strives to make her passion for Christ evident in her relationships, and she is frequently reminded of God's faithfulness and love from Lamentations 3:22-24 "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, 'The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” |
