Mrs. VanderWoude~Discovery Center Teacher
I am excited and thankful to begin my first full year teaching in the Discovery Center at Crown Point Christian. It is amazing how God has already worked in the students I work with and can't wait to see what He will be showing us this year. My husband Dave and I have lived in Valparaiso for 15 years. We have children who are attending CPCS this year. Jaeden is 9 years old and in 2nd grade. Emily is 4 and is in Pre-K. We attend Faith Church at the Valpo Campus where Dave is the Arts Director. For the past 11 years I have been teaching students with a variety of learning differences and special needs. I enjoyed teaching K-5 inclusive special education in Hobart, developmentally delayed preschool in Valparaiso, and assistive technology for Porter County. I love to help children find the unique gifts and strengths that God has given them. One of my favorite verses is, "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth." I Cor. 3:6.
