Hi! I am Miss Mast, one of two 1st Grade teachers here at Crown
Point Christian School. I have been teaching at CPCS since August
2006. I feel honored to be part of a staff that prayerfully seeks
ways to provide the Christ-centered education that our school is
committed to offering our students. I also feel blessed to be able
to work with Mrs. Brinks. As a 1st Grade team, we work together
to plan lessons and activities, as well as write our weekly parent
newsletter. I am from Lansing,
Illinois. I went to Lansing Christian School and Illiana Christian
High School. I graduated from Trinity Christian College in Palos
Heights, Illinois in 2002. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Elementary Education with a concentration in English.
After graduating from Trinity, I taught
4th Grade for two years at Highland Christian School in Highland,
Indiana. The following two years, I taught 4th Grade at the International
Community School of Bangkok in Thailand. Last year I taught 1st
Grade half-time at Crown Point Christian School and Kindergarten
half-time at Tall Oaks Christian School in Valparaiso, Indiana.
I cherish my past teaching experiences and the lessons that God
has taught me along the way.
I love teaching! I enjoy building relationships with my students
in order to learn how I might best instruct them and challenge
them to become lifelong learners. I also love learning alongside
my students!
My hobbies include traveling, reading, listening to music, and
spending time with my family and friends.
My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 48:17b
“I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for
you, who directs you in the way you should go.”
