Hi. I’m Dave Schurman. I have lived in Lansing, Illinois for most of my life. I attended Lansing Christian and then Illiana Christian High School. I worked for Rest Haven Christian Services for 27 years in the maintenance department before coming to CPCS in March 2007. I attend New Hope CRC (formerly 1st CRC of Lansing) where I lead the junior high youth group with my wife Janice. I have two children Katelynn (freshmen at Illiana) and Joshua (6th grade at LCS).
I enjoy being outdoors; hiking, biking, camping, swimming and scuba diving are some of my hobbies. I also like photography. My bible passage ties in with my hobbies. It is Psalm 8 vs. 3 & 4. “Our God has made a wonderful creation with many splendid creatures and he chose man to rule over it. I’m in awe of the honor God has given us”.
I have always enjoyed working with kids and am honored to have the chance to do so here. |
