Are you handy? Are you organized? Do you enjoy socializing and getting to know new people? Second Life Resale Shoppe is the place for you! Whether you’re a teenager, a retiree, or somewhere in between, we want you as part of our volunteer team. We are actively seeking volunteers for our store, and we know that you can bring something unique to our team. We all lead busy lives, but volunteers make the time to give something back to the community, and by doing so, receive a rewarding gift in return – the knowledge that each of us, together, is making a positive difference.
Volunteer Guidelines / Policy
All volunteers may choose to: (a) Assist ONE family (full 48 hours of credit per year) -or- (b) Assist TWO families for 24 hours credit each family per year (half of 48 required).
For parent/grandparents, this is in addition to hours worked for children or grandchildren.
All excess hours may be donated to CPCS for need allocation, please write “donate” when hours have been met so hours can be entered accurately.
All volunteers to receive credit toward the program must be high school age or older. Parents may bring younger children with them, but we ask that they be watched.
If you do not have family at CPCS and choose not to specify a family, your hours can be donated directly to the school. A school representative will assign these hours to families in need.
There is no maximum of hours per month EXCEPT in January and February. A maximum of 12 hours per family may be done during these months due to the fact that this is our slowest time.
Families have a password-secure login to track all volunteer hours completed at CPCS and Second Life. Second Life is only able to see hours completed at Second Life.
Thank you for volunteering at Second Life Resale Shoppe!
