Shine Like a Star!

This year, our school has been challenged to shine like stars. This challenge has been personally meaningful to me and has led me to have conversations about this topic with our staff, my family, and friends. It has been encouraging to witness acts of kindness by our students and families on a daily basis within our school and community.

The school year is fast coming to a close, so I thought the month of May would be a perfect opportunity to provide some daily ideas for our students to shine. Attached please find a family devotional and a calendar of ideas for acts of kindness. Talk with your children about these opportunities and how they reflect being a child of God.

Be encouraged to be intentional in being the hands and feet of Jesus to others as we move forward in the year.  When May comes to a close, I’d love to hear about your experiences of shining like a star from you or your child.

In Him,

Nick Groen, Interim Principal

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.” Philippians 2:14-15
