My 46 year journey in Christian education has been most rewarding. Thirty-
six of these years have been spent as teacher and principal of Demotte
Christian School. Six years were spent as Superintendent/Development
Director of the Central Wisconsin Christian Schools in Waupun, Wisconsin.
For the past four years I have served as the part-time Development Director
of the Crown Point Christian School.
I graduated from Calvin College in 1963. I continued my graduate studies at
Michigan State, Valparaiso University and Purdue University. I also
completed a six month intensive study at the Near East School of Archaeology
in Jerusalem Jordan.
My wife and I reside in St. John, Indiana. All three of our children live
in the area of Crown Point/Cedar Lake, Indiana. Seven of our ten
grandchildren attend Crown Point Christian School. We will be blessed with
another grandchild in November 2008. My wife and I attend Bethel CRC in
Lansing, Illinois.
My interests vary from reading, woodworking, fishing, travel, and just
enjoying nature. I also enjoy being with family and being a good
grandparent. Having coffee with family and friends is a high priority.
I have been blessed in my journey in education. Hopefully my life and work
has made a positive impact in the Christian communities in which I served.
Jeremiah 29:11 has always been a favorite verse from God's Word. It has
given me much motivation and comfort. "For I know the plans I have for
you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans
to give you hope and a future."
I am most grateful for the privileges and opportunities the Lord has
permitted to enjoy in my work, family, friends, and now in my semi-
retirement. I feel privileged to serve at Crown Point Christian School.
